Julie-Anne Kerr

Julie has been a registered teacher of Royal Academy of Dance training students for over 25 years and being an integral part of making children's dreams come true.

Her early training with Tanya Pearson led her to the Royal Ballet School where she trained under Hope Keelen.

Julie has been working for elite schools producing dancers who have gone onto professional careers such as:

  • David Atkins' Dynamite Studios, as the Principal for the Junior School (now known as Brent Street)
  • Tanya Pearsons' Classical Coaching Academy and
  • Mosman Dance Academy

At Dynamite Studios started with 3 students in the junior ballet school and within 2 years, under Julie's guidance, the school blossomed to near 200 ballet students.

Julie was then asked to start a junior school at Tanya Pearsons' Classical Coaching Academy and formed an elite group of students that achieved exceptional exam and eisteddfod results within the 1st year.

Julie was recently asked to head the ballet department at the Valerie Smith Stage School and has taken students that have never put on a pair of pointe shoes to now are considering professional classical careers and excellent exam results.
